SEARS - Dates for your diary
Keep your farming calendar up to date with the key dates and deadlines below, provided
by each of the SEARS partners each month.
Please note that this provides key dates and information only. The list is not exhaustive,
and some dates may change. Contact your local department for the latest information.
May 2012
- May 14 – deadline for applications to SASA for seed potatoes to be classified in the Seed Potato Certification Scheme (via an SPS1 form).
- May 15 – last day for Scottish Government ARFC: RPID to receive your Single Application Form (SAF) if you are to avoid a late claim(s) reduction.
- May 15 – last day for Scottish Government ARFC: RPID to receive your Land Managers Options (LMO) application (SGARFC: RPID will not accept applications received after 15 May 2012).
- May 15 – Start of the LMO scheme year.
- May 15 – last day to make claim for RDC: Rural Priorities Annual Recurrent options on the SAF for 2012 online or on paper to avoid late claim(s) reduction.
- May 31 – last day Scottish Government ARFC: RPID can accept amendments/additions to your SAF (if it was received on or before 15 May 2012) without reducing your payments.
- Ware potatoes over an area of 0.1 hectare or more grown on farms where no seed is grown should be notified on form PP1 and submitted to SASA within 28 days of the commencement of planting.
- Throughout May, remember to ensure silage pits are totally sealed before going into a new silage season. After your silage pit is emptied, inspect your silo and complete any required maintenance. Don't allow effluent tanks to overflow.
